Aura-Soma Color Care System

The Aura-Soma Color System Training is a color phenomenon that has circled the world. Originally inspired in 1983 with the creation of the remarkable jewel like Equilibrium oils, the Aura-Soma Faculty offers comprehensive color training. A training that provides the student with not only tremendous knowledge about the language and uses of color, but also invites the student into a process of personal transformation as they interact with the living energies of color and awaken to the beauty and potential within themselves.
The Academy has been responsible for developing the Aura-Soma Color Care System Faculty, training teachers to present these courses around the world, developing course materials and teaching aids, as well as ensuring that high standards and the quality of students experience are maintained. The Faculty is also engaged in developing links with further accrediting bodies.

Color Education

Color as a universal language speaks directly to the deeper aspects within us. All living things emit and respond to colour, confirmed and understood by quantum physics as all matter is light vibrating at different frequencies. Colour is a key through which we may come to understand the essential nature of ourselves as beings of light. The dual-colored Equilibrium bottles at the heart of the Aura-Soma system contain the energies of herbal extracts, essential oils, crystal and gem essences, color and light in a water based lower fraction and an oil based upper fraction. They enable the user to understand the underlying themes of their life whilst also offering a pathway of expression for the soul. Each of the 111 Equilibrium color combinations can be seen as a key to consciousness itself.
As a reflection of consciousness color is a powerful tool that can be used to bring about harmony and well being on all levels of body, mind and spirit. Through the understanding and use of color it is possible to move towards a greater awareness or clarity of consciousness.
The notion of using the different frequencies of color and light to influence mood and well being has been around for thousands of years and was practiced in the color temples in Ancient Egypt.

Color is a language and tool that has profound implications for affecting our world. In recent years there has been an explosion of activity in the field of color education as new techniques, understandings and areas of expertise have evolved. AS I ACT is delighted to be at the forefront of this field.
Color is a universal language understood by all people in all cultures. Your color preferences, such as your favorite color, the colors you like next to each other, the passing phases you have for certain colors, are all expressions of the inner self. Through your choice of the Equilibrium color combinations for the soul finds a way to express itself and touch the underlying themes of your life in a way that goes beyond language.
In addition to the work ASIACT does with its own color faculties, the Academy is also committed to furthering education and standards in all forms of color therapy. ASIACT offers you a listing and further information on many other schools and organizations in the field of color education.

If you would like some suggestions for a subject matter for your 2,000 word essay please contact the Academy.

LEVEL 4

366-L4-AS-logo

1. Pre-requisites

The pre-requisite for the Level 4 Home Study Unit is completion of all of the previous levels of the Aura-Soma Color Care Consultant training.

2. Aims

Level 4 can be compared to a module of a correspondence course, with your work being assigned to a trained Marker who will carefully read and respond to it. The aim of Level 4 is to stimulate the student to explore and deepen their own understanding of the Aura-Soma Color System and the wider field of color. Level 4 also provides an opportunity to review the way that a Registered Practitioner is working with clients in consultations and for the Practitioner to receive feedback and support where appropriate.

3. Content

To achieve these aims Level 4 comprises three components.

1. Questions and Answers

This component of the Level 4 work requires approximately 5,000 words based upon answering a series of set questions on various subjects, some Aura-Soma specific, others on the wider field of color.

2. Consultation Records

The second component is the submission of 60 Consultation records. These will be reviewed by the Examiner as a means of monitoring Consultation practice. Each record will be of one Consultation involving a personal meeting between the Practitioner and the client. It is important that some of the Consultation records submitted are of follow up Consultations for returning clients. The Academy honors client confidentiality. Any identifying information on records must be removed before they are submitted to the Examiner.

3. 36 hours further study

The completion of a minimum of thirty-six hours of training in a prescribed subject is the third component. At present there are two options for students. You may either complete a course in Anatomy and Physiology or one in Consultation skills.
For either subject the course must involve a minimum of thirty-six hours of study. The course must also be acceptable to the Academy. Generally this means that the course is recognized by either the national educational or medical body of your country, or by another complementary medical body of your country. If you are uncertain as to whether a course will be acceptable or not please contact the Academy. A copy of a certificate from the school or teacher who has presented the course will be requested by the Academy as evidence of completion of this component of Level 4.
Once you have completed all three components of this level then you should inform the Academy by letter and enclose a cheque for the accompanying marking fee (currently £60) made payable to the Academy. The Academy will assign you a Marker to whom you may send your work for reading and response.

4. The Academy Recognition

Following submission of the Level 4 Home Study work, and once we have received confirmation from your Marker that your work is acceptable, you will receive a Level 4 Certificate from the Academy. It will then be possible for the student to register with the Academy as a Color Care Consultant.
As with all registration certificates the Color Care Consultant Certificate needs to be renewed annually. See sections on The Renewal Process and Practicing Certificates for further information.

THE BRIDGE

The Bridge takes the information received in the Training to a new dimension, deepening your work with yourself and so your ability to work with others. From this perspective it benefits Practitioners, Color Care Consultants as well as those wishing to become Teachers. On completion of the Bridge, Registered Practitioners and Registered Color Care Consultants may give public talks and hold full day experiential events on the Aura-Soma color system to develop their practice. Completion of the Bridge course is one of the prerequisites for entering the Aura-Soma Teacher Training Program.

PRACTICING OPPORTUNITIES AT EACH LEVEL

From Aura-Soma’s earliest days there has been much enthusiasm from the students to share the Aura-Soma Color System with others through Consultations.

Consequently the Academy has developed a Code of Practice which all students should follow.

Level 1 Foundation

Once the Level 1 Foundation course has been completed the student may begin sharing consultations with family and friends to gain practice and experience. The student may also support Aura-Soma stands at exhibitions provided the stand is run by a Registered Practitioner or Color Care Consultant and provided that the Level 1 Foundation student does not give Consultations. At this level, the student may not give Consultations to the public, charge a fee for consultations or describe themselves as a Registered Aura-Soma Practitioner.

Level 2 Intermediate and Personal Presentation Skills

Once the Level 2 Intermediate course and the * Personal Presentation Skills course has been completed, the student may choose to become an Aura-Soma Registered Practitioner by joining the Worldwide Register of Aura-Soma Color System Practitioners. Following receipt of the Registration Agreement, the Academy will provide the student with a Practicing Certificate which will need to be displayed when offering consultations to the public and at exhibitions. A current Registered Practicing Certificate is required in order to continue to describe themselves as an Aura-Soma Practitioner. The Academy notes however that Level 2 Practitioners are still near to the beginning of the training and consequently suggests that they develop their practice with the public in a gradual way. * (Personal Presentation Skills course is only applicable for new students from January 01 2009).

Level 3 Advanced

Once the Level 3 Advanced course has been completed the student that holds a current Practicing Certificate Level 3 may work increasingly with the public, their practice benefitting from their growing Consultation experience, skills and knowledge.

Level 4

Level 4 students with their demonstrated experience of working with the Aura-Soma Color System and their understanding of the principles of Aura-Soma and the wider field of color may register as an Aura-Soma Color Care Consultant and develop a full public practice.

Each stage of the training is designed to build upon the information and skills acquired in the previous course. In this way the student who becomes a Registered Practitioner has an increasingly valuable reservoir of experience to offer in a Consultation as they progress through the training to become a Color Care Consultant.

GENERAL

The Student Agreement

Before commencing any Aura-Soma training course the student must complete a Student Registration Agreement. This agreement includes a legally abiding section whereby the student agrees to respect the rules of the Academy. The Student Registration Agreement must be completed and returned to the Teacher who will then submit it to the Academy for processing.

Time between Courses

All students should make time to assimilate the material presented on a course before attending the next level in the training. The Academy recommends students allow at least three months between attending courses for this assimilation to occur with the exception of the Personal Presentation Skills course which can be taken any time between the Level 2 and Level 3 courses.

Registering as an Aura-Soma Practitioner

After you have completed the courses up to and including Personal Presentation Skills, you will be able to join the worldwide register of Aura-Soma Practitioners and Aura-Soma Color Care Consultants as an Aura-Soma Practitioner and begin to work in a small way with the public. You can download a copy of the Practitioner & Color Care Consultant Guide, which you will need to have read prior to signing the Practitioner Registration Agreement.

Registering as an Aura-Soma Color Care Consultant

Once you have received your Level 4 Certificate from the Academy, you will be able to join the worldwide register of Aura-Soma Practitioners and Aura-Soma Color Care Consultants as an Aura-Soma Color Care Consultant.

The Renewal Process

To keep Aura-Soma Practitioners and Aura-Soma Color Care Consultants up to date the Renewal Process has been created. The Renewal Process is designed to nurture the developing skills of the student and may be seen as a continuing professional development programme. There are many ways to fulfill this requirement, you may wish to attend the next level of your training, or alternatively you may wish to attend a Sharing Day with your Teacher, or an appropriate certified Aura-Soma renewal course. Please check with either your teacher, or the Academy to ensure that your renewal course is applicable.

Certificates

Students will receive a Certificate of Attendance at each fully attended level which recognizes completion of the course. Once the training has been completed up to and including the Personal Presentation Skills course the student can register for a Practicing Certificate. Upon receipt of this certificate the student can describe themselves as an Aura-Soma Registered Practitioner and begin to work with the public. After completion of all the pre-requisites, and completion and acceptance of the Level 4 Home Study the student can register as an Aura-Soma Color Care Consultant.

TEACHER TRAINING

The Aura-Soma Color System Teacher Training program is a structured sequence of courses designed to provide the trainee teacher with the skills and materials necessary to present the Aura-Soma Color Care Consultant training to the public.
